Phew!

Busy busy busy. If you have a Blackberry Pearl or like to talk about music you know I've been busy - if not, well, hopefully you'll forgive my neglect of the rest of my blog. Let's see, what's going on 'round here?

On the business front, I managed to get quoted in the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday, talking about our current digs in San Francisco - we share a space with several other companies. The article made the front page! Sadly, SpotDJ and my quote were both relegated to the continuance of the article on page 12, but still, wow! Now all I need is one of those line art drawings of my head and all of my WSJ life to-dos will be complete.

On the home front we've got the Christmas tree and half the lights up - I'll be braving the roof this weekend to finish the lighting job. Photos forthcoming. The garage is awash with lighting boxes and extension cord wrappers. We haven't made much progress on our Christmas shopping, but I have a hunch we'll be braving the crowds this weekend (for everything we can't buy from Amazon, anyway).

Mel is large and in charge these days, though she'd probably argue that it's our son-to-be that's really giving the orders. We're in the home stretch now, with less than two months to go. Doctor's visits every two weeks, daycare interviews, diaper services (people still use cloth?) - it's a whirlwind. Single people and childless couples take heed: Having a kid is all about infrastructure. Do yourselves a favor - starting buying toys and baby furniture now. Sure, your date will look at you funny when she sees a Diaper Genie in your apartment, but you can always play it off as a shower gift.
