New: Disable intelliTXT via a GreaseMonkey script

| | Comments (8)

From zero to automated in an afternoon! You'll need Firefox and GreaseMonkey. Once you've got both, you can install the script by right-clicking on this link. You can also check out the page on userscripts.org.

Thank you so much I hated the intelliTXT so much that I had e-mailed them to find out how to stop it and they said "it is not on your system so just don't go to the websites that have it." I thought that was rude because I have this awful habit of moving my mouse when I read so these little boxes were flying open all over the place. Thank you!!

I can't thank you enough. Mouseover ads are intolerable for me. Popups can be ignored, but getting stuck on a balloon the pops up unwanted on mouse-over is one of the more frustrating evils of advertising they've come up with lately.
Thanks again.

I clicked the link and it took me to this page: http://www.fibble.org/disableIntelliTXT.user.js

it shows me the script, does it mean it's already been scripted? or do i need to use the script and put it somewhere???

You'll need to have Firefox and the GreaseMonkey extension installed for the script to work. If you have GreaseMonkey installed and active, clicking on that link will bring up a dialog that tells you how to install the script.
