Well, looks like I've been burned by not making offsite backups. My web hosting provider's server went down yesterday, and they lost both the hard drive and the backups for everything from 10/10/04 onward. Sadly, I made my last database backup shortly before then. Live and learn, I suppose.

Dude, what a bummer! I feel your pain. I had my PC's primary hard drive fail not too long ago. I had fortunately moved my photos onto another drive (I hadn't been backing those up regularly -- now I am!) I also lost about 3 mos. of MS Money data. I've been much better about backing stuff up since then. I'm sure I lost other stuff, but it must not have been too important, since I haven't missed it yet.
