DisableTextAds is here!

Okay, my DisableIntelliTXT GreaseMonkey script has been in need of a name change for some time. So, without further ado, meet DisableTextAds. You can grab the latest version here (or right click that link to install directly), and old links to the script will redirect to the newest version.

In addition, the script now blocks ads from a third ad network, Linkworth. Triple the original protection from annoying popup ads, same low price. I won't be undersold!

I get a "runtime error" when I try to run the script on ie 7.0

Mike - This script was written against Firefox's js api, so I wouldn't expect it to work in IE7. For the matter, how are you running the script? Via GreaseMonkIE?

great job! any plans on including a block for adbrite inline ads?

Grant said:

dinah - Actually, this script should already block AdBrite ads. Can you post a link to page where you're seeing them?

Thank you! The Web is now a better place because of this script!

Here is a link where I am still seeing AdBrite Ads. http://www.filmschoolrejects.com/

@Lighthouse - o ho! There's a good reason for that - AdBrite has changed the html inserted by their script. Expect a new version shortly.
