Okay, I admit I didn't actually change anything, but a few people have mentioned that the script I wrote for the BlackBerry 8100 also works with the Nokia E61. Neat!

So, for the more aesthetically inclined among you, I've made a few modifications to the original script. You can download the E61 version here - just follow the directions in my earlier post to install it. Everywhere it says 'BlackBerry 8100', substitute 'Nokia E61' and you should be all set.

I don't have an E61 to test this on, so I'd appreciate reports of success or failure, as well as the results of any speed testing you do. Thanks!

I found your tip here and the script also works here.
Now i can surf the web with my phone.
Thanx a lot!

is there a systematic, linear way to post this information?
I'm dyslexic and so am having a little problem integrating all this disparate information into a mental flow chart I can work with and problem solve...I am unable to get past authentication...I'm disconnected...running a 8100 on T-mobil to a G4 laptop 10.4.6...I'd love to get this going...the blackberry is great on the go but I really need use of my G4 on a two week bussiness trip to the UK

Dean - the process can be broken down into three steps: installing the script, creating a modem and creating a connection. I'm going to paraphrase the directions here.

To install the modem script, download it, change the name and copy it into the correct plact (/Library/Modem Scripts).

To create the modem, go to OS X's Bluetooth Preferences page and follow the process described.

To create a connection, open Internet Connect and follow the process described.

Hope that helps! From your comment, you've likely forgotten to put a username and password into the proper fields in Internet Connect - T-Mobile requires them, but doesn't check them, so you can use 'guest' for both.
